We believe in growing our own talent and retaining our experienced staff. Our comprehensive training packages provide full training for all new recruits joining SCEMES in a telemarketing capacity and encourage them to develop their skills throughout their employment, to allow them to reach their full earning potential.

Our retention rate for administration and management staff is excellent, and we are proud to reward good performance with a company-wide bonus scheme.

Customers

Our relationship with our 5,0000 customers is of paramount importance to us, and we are committed to ensuring that all our customers are completely satisfied with the service that they receive when they take out an advertising package with SCEMES.

In recognition of the importance of good customer service, we have adopted a company-wide Customer Service Policy and employed a Customer Services Manager to liaise with customers, ensuring that they have the right package to suit their needs.

We want customers to feel that they have received value for money when they advertise in the Headteachers and Bursars Handbooks, and we are proud to be able to offer all our customers a variety of free benefits when they sign up with SCEMES.

These include tender notifications appropriate to our customer’s businesses, help with the design and presentation of their artwork, advice on how to maximise the potential of their company pages and regular updates on news and developments from with the educational marketplace.

Because we want our customers to see an increase in business as a result of their partnership with SCEMES Ltd, we ensure that we are constantly marketing our products to schools and encouraging them to see the benefits of using our Handbooks and online directory.

By bringing together educational buyers and local and national suppliers, we guarantee that all our customers are given direct access to their target audience, and are uniquely placed to serve the educational marketplace.

Schools

All SCEMES’ services are free to schools and we believe passionately in supporting educational buyers and ensuring that they source best value products and services.

Our Headteachers and Bursars Handbooks are mailed free to 32,000 twice a year and provide procurement staff with a single point of reference for all their purchasing needs.

SCEMES started producing the Handbook of Procurement after identifying the need schools had for reliable and competitive suppliers in the procurement process.

Since schools and colleges gained responsibility for the control of their own budgets, we recognised the increased pressure that Headteachers and Bursars were under to find cost effective solutions to all their purchasing needs.

SCEMES’ Headteachers and Bursars Handbooks exist to help school purchasers find these solutions, and are widely recognised an invaluable resource for all educational procurement staff.

Our Handbooks and online database of suppliers, SCEMES Online, provide schools with a choice of local and national suppliers, allowing them to choose the one that best suits their specific needs.

In addition, our E-quote facility allows schools to request quotes from a range of suppliers for any product or service that they require.

By presenting schools with a choice of suppliers working in the educational marketplace, we ensure that schools are able to source the suppliers that they need quickly, easily and cost-effectively.
